Shirley Travis Gilman

She was born as Shirley Mae Travis on May 14, 1935 to James Kelly Travis and Helen Godwin in Blytheville, AR. Having led a wonderful life of 88 years in mostly the Houston and Pearland areas of TX, this matriarch of our family departed us on June 19, 2023 to join her beloved husband Duke and sister Patsy. Always energetic and outgoing with an adorable southern accent, her lifelong focus was dedicated to the love and support of her family, as well as the generous kindness and care to friends. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Bob; two daughters, Julie with her husband Charlie and Janette with her husband Dan; three grandchildren, Amanda, Randi and David; two great granddaughters, Autumn and Dakota; her niece, Sheila; and nephews Jimmy and Allen.
