Shannon Elyse Peterson

September 10, 2024 Shannon Peterson of Crockett, TX passed away at the age of 54, due to a long history of medical problems. She is proceded in death by her parents, Anna Turner of Crockett, TX and Capt. Walter 'Ted' Paige of Vancover, WA , her step fathers, Randall Palmore of Crockett, TX and Sam Turner of Crockett, TX.

Shannon was a long time resident of Crockett, TX as she graduated from Latexo High School, went off to graduate from Texas Tech University. She came back to Crockett soon after her graduation to pursue her journalism carreer for the Houston County Courier and start her family. She retired in 2003 due to hip surgery.

She is survived by her husband A. Wayne 'Bubba' Peterson JR., their children Kori Michael, Leslie Guzman, Riley Peterson, Bailey Guzman-Peterson, and Ellory Peterson, her son in laws, Gregory Michael and Randall 'Randy' Mills. She is also survived by her grandchildren, AnnieLeigh Michael, Justin Hall, Annelyse, Isaiah Michael, Noah Michael, Ronald 'Teddy' Michael, Artyst Warrick, Gregory Michael JR., Braxton Foster, and Ava Guzman-Cooper. She is also survived by Randi-Kaye Atkins and her sons, Draven and Magnus 'Max' Finkenbiner, whom she loved has her own child and grandchildren.

Shannon, was a force to be reckoned with, from recreating her life after a horrific car accident, to raising five children as her husband travelled for work. She proved numerous doctors wrong by continuing to be strong and faith driven. She will truly be missed, and will always be an inspiration to those around her.

Her family at this time has decided that a small private memorial service is what is best for them.
