February 10, 1935 – February 13, 2025
Maureen Lilian Kaye Puissegur passed away peacefully at home in Friendswood, Texas, on February 13, 2025, at the age of 90. She was surrounded by love and care in the home of her devoted caregivers, Bernie and Wayne.
Born on February 10, 1935, in London, England, Maureen led a full and adventurous life. She met the love of her life, Thomas M. "Tommy" Puissegur, and they married in January 1972 in Hendon, Greater London, United Kingdom. Together, they built a beautiful life, traveling abroad while working in the oil industry and later running their own HVAC business. They were married for 48 wonderful years before Tommy’s passing.
Maureen had a warm and generous spirit. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—fishing, feeding squirrels at the park, listening to country music, and taking scenic drives, especially to spend the day at Texas City Dike. Although she loved her home in England, one of her proudest achievements was becoming a United States citizen.
She worked diligently as a bookkeeper and account specialist with several companies, bringing her strong work ethic and keen attention to detail to everything she did. Maureen and Tommy also loved entertaining, often hosting gatherings for business clients and friends.
One of the greatest joys in Maureen and Tommy’s life was the love they shared for their many dogs over the years. Their home was always filled with the companionship, loyalty, and happiness that their beloved pets brought them.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tommy, her parents, and her cherished sister, Daphne. Despite the miles between them, Maureen and Daphne remained incredibly close, speaking on the phone every Saturday and treasuring their visits together.
In her later years, Maureen battled dementia but was fortunate to have found a second family with Bernie, Wayne, and their granddaughter Destiney, who welcomed her into their home and hearts, caring for her with love and devotion for many years. She was also blessed with wonderful neighbors who were not only friends but a source of unwavering love and support. She was affectionately known as "Momo" by many.
Maureen was a believer and a Christian, and she carried her faith with her throughout her life.
An inurnment graveside service will be held on March 21, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, Texas 77598.
At Maureen’s request, a private remembrance will be held in her honor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Houston SPCA or a charity of your choice in her memory.
Rest in peace, dear Maureen. You will be forever loved and remembered.
