Linda was born on September 2, 1943 in Bakersfield California, but spent her formative years in Mena, Arkansas. She went on to attend Victoria High School and this is where she met her life long love, Lelton Ray Dickey, who were married over 50 years.
Linda retired from both Kmart and Kroger Corporation, and enjoyed the many regular customers and friends she encountered on a daily basis. She was well known for her hard work, dedication, and had a great passion for helping others. But more than anything, Linda was a devoted mother. She loved spending time with her children, sharing stories, playing games, family sing a longs, holidays and watching their favorite TV shows. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
Linda is survived by her children, Lelton E. Dickey and wife Tammy, Randy A. Dickey and wife Cindy, William B. Dickey,
Cathy Fountain and husband Jason, David E. Dickey and Jessica. Brother Mark Golden and wife Janie, sister Brenda Sneed.
She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren Katie Ponce, Jacob Dickey, Christopher Dickey, Jennifer Dickey, Magain Garcia, Tiffany Guerrero, William Dickey Jr., Mary Dickey, Raychelle Dickey, Fred Robinson, John Robinson, AnneMarie Dickey, Daniel Dickey and 22 great grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lelton R. Dickey, grandchildren Matthew Dickey and Ashley Fountain, parents, Eldus and Gracie Golden, brother Franklin and Harold.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 3:00 PM at The Gathering Church located at 1047 E. Hufsmith in Tomball, TX 77375.
