Kim Ewing Fonville

Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of Kim Ewing Fonville, 66, on March 27, 2025, at his home in Pasadena, Texas. He was born on September 15, 1958, in Dallas, Texas to Camilla and James Fonville. Kim was raised in South Houston and Santa Fe, Texas. He graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1977. He married Barbara K. Carpenter in 1986. They were blessed with one child, Kimberly Fonville. Kim was a retired Lieutenant from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office after 32 years of service at the time of his death. He enjoyed camping in our RV, swimming, barbecuing, cooking, and golfing. His family and friends will remember him as an amazing husband, father and a man of integrity.

Kim was preceded in death by his father, James E. Fonville; mother, Camilla Duplantis; stepfather, Lyman Duplantis; great nephew; Brandon Jones; and nephew, James J. Fonville (J.J.).

He is survived by wife, Barbara K. Fonville; daughter, Kimberly Fonville; sister, Linda Fonville; niece, Shelly Matthews; great nephew, Dalton Jones; his wife, Ashley Jones; and their children, Jaxon and Madilynn.

Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on April 25, 2025, at The Harbor Church, Friendswood, Texas.
