Joanna Zimmerman

Born on December 5, 1949 in Brenham, Texas, Joanna is survived by a loving family: her daughter Angela Dreiling and son-in-law David Dreiling, of Pasadena, Texas; her son Blake Zimmerman and daughter-in-law Jill Zimmerman, of Washington, Texas; and her brother Johnnie Kopycinski and sister-in-law Carolyn Kopycinski, of Chappell Hill, Texas. She was a beloved grandmother to Dawson, Tanner, Skyler, and Hannah Dreiling, and Ella Zimmerman. Joanna also leaves behind her niece Christi Strock, and nephew Mark Kopycinski. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tecklea Brzymialkiewicz Kopycinski and Billie Kopycinski, and her brother Mike Kopycinski.

Joanna received the Sacraments of her Catholic faith at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill, Texas. Joanna's life was marked by her deep connections with family and her enduring friendships. She adored her grandchildren immensely, and loved bragging about them to all of her friends and caretakers in Webster, Texas, where she lived the last few years of her life. Joanna loved collecting angels throughout her life on earth, and we know she is surrounded by them now. Her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

A funeral mass will be held at 11am on January 4, 2025 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with a celebration of life immediately following at the church hall. A rosary will also take place one hour prior to mass at 10am.
