David Lee Moore, born February 21, 1945 in Fort Worth, Texas to his parents Edward Oscar Moore and Mildred Hale Moore.
David made the newspaper at the age of 5 years old when he saved his younger brother Sam from the pond behind their neighbor’s house.
David sang in the world renowned Texas Boys’ Choir and traveled to Wales, England to perform. He also performed on the Pat Boone show. He attended Paschal High School, was on the track team and graduated in 1963.
David served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1971, including a tour in Vietnam in 1969.
David met his wife Patty in 1981 and his life changed for the better. They enjoyed a long and loving marriage filled with many great memories of family, friends and the many places their travels took them.
David’s favorite pastime was playing golf with his friends Rick and Bill. When he could no longer play golf, he would watch it on the television. His biggest joy was his grandchildren. He was always the first in line to hear the band, choir, and orchestra concerts as well as participate in the many fundraisers.
David is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years Patricia Anne Moore, her son Michael “Vik” Parag and both of his parents. He is survived by his son Todd Moore and his wife Jennifer; Lisa Hagemeister and her husband Troy; grandchildren Austin, Lindsey, Kaley, Emily, Elise and Anica; brother Sam Moore and his wife Harriett and their daughters Courtney and Kate and their families.
He will be missed by all of his sisters and brothers in-law; his nieces and nephews and all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023 at the Houston National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Patty.
