December 12, 1976 – September 16, 2026
Daniel “Dan” Jacobs, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a circle of family and friends who loved him deeply.
Dan was a husband, father, son, brother, friend, and so much more. He had a personality that was impossible to forget. He was always ready to make people feel at home. He was the ultimate party host; the kind of person who could turn an ordinary gathering into something people would talk about long afterward. He loved having people around him and had a way of making family and friends feel like they belonged.
He will be remembered for his love of making fast cars go faster, his sense of humor, his generosity, and especially for the love he gave so freely to the people around him. The memories he created with his family and friends will continue to live on in the stories they tell, the traditions they carry forward, and the love they share.
Dan is survived by his wife, Diana; his children, Samantha and Emily; his stepdaughter, Hannah; his parents Joseph and Danita; his brother Andy; and countless extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by knowing him.
Though his time with us was far too short, Dan leaves behind something that cannot be measured in years: a lifetime of love, memories, laughter, and people who will carry a piece of him with them wherever they go.
Celebration of Life
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 3:00–6:00 p.m. at Riverview Centre in Chesapeake, Virginia.
In keeping with Dan’s love of bringing people together, the gathering will be a time to remember his life, share stories, laugh, cry, and simply enjoy one another’s company.
“The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.” — Psalm 64:10 (KJV)
Dan will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
