Corky passed peacefully with her daughter at her side after many recent visits by family and friends.
Corky grew up in Gage Park area of Chicago IL, lived in Hickory Hills IL, Batavia IL, Centerville IN, Porter Ranch CA, and most recently outside Houston TX.
Corky lived a life full of friends and family. Her hobbies included cooking, traveling, genealogy, gardening, fostering dogs, reading and spending time with her grandkids and kids.
Her parting words to all reflect her spirit, “I’ll miss you and love you all, but I am going home to be with our Lord, be happy for me.”
Her parents are Charles and Catherine Adair. Corinne was preceded in death by her brothers Calvin (Marion), Charles (Ardene), and John as well as sister Arlene Adair and her son, Edward Miller. Surviving her are sons Thomas (Jennifer Schwab), James (Teresa Williams) Miller, and daughter Collette (Bob) Pechous, along with grandkids Trevor, Drake, and Brynna Pechous.
There will be a Memorial service on Saturday, February 22 at 2pm in Corinne’s Church, Clear Lake United Methodist Church, Houston, TX and a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 5th in the Chicago suburbs, details to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Corinne’s name can be made to an organization she was active in, and which gave her much joy and purpose.
