
Charles Blake McCaskill was welcomed into this world on September 26, 1954 by his mother Norma Aell McCaskill and father Charles Robert McCaskill. Blake left his earthly home on Saturday, January 10, 2026 and was welcomed to God’s kingdom after he drew his last breath.
He is survived by his loving wife Stephanie Stratton McCaskill, daughter Alicia Gail McCaskill Hill, grandchildren David Lee Westerman, Molly Ann Hopster and Mason Blake Hill, mother Norma Azell McCaskill and sister Sandra McCaskill Bradley and husband Dalton, brother Jason Scott McCaskill and wife Terrie, mother-in-law Patricia Stratton, sister-in-law Paula Whyte and husband Chris, brother-in-law Scott Stratton and wife Kim, sister-in-law Carla Stratton as well as many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Blake was preceded in death by his father Charles Robert McCaskill, sister Danita Renee McCaskill and brother-in-law Mark Stratton.
Blake was born in Galveston and lived his entire life in Galveston County. He met his wife Stephanie Stratton and married her on October 15, 1989. They shared 36 years together in their home in LaMarque, Texas with their many beloved pets. Blake attended University of Houston and then hired on at Amoco, August 1975 and retired from BP as a supervisor. He was a faithful member of Arcadia Baptist Church, an avid golfer, animal lover, and a big fan of rhythm and blues which often lured he and Stephanie to New Orleans. To know Blake was to love him. He had a great sense of humor, was an accomplished story teller and a skilled artist, known at the refinery for his cartoons and caricatures of his fellow workers.
As we mourn Blake’s passing, we are comforted that he is with our Lord and reunited with loved ones who welcomed him home.
A memorial service will be 2:00 pm., Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Arcadia Baptist Church 14828 Highway 6 Santa Fe, Texas. Funeral reception immediately following the service.
