

Charles Willard Fimble, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on August 21, 1938, Charles lived a life full of love, service, and adventure.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Frances Fimble; his sons, Chuck Fimble, wife Pam, and David Fimble, wife Tina; and his adored grandsons, Michael and Derek Fimble. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Connie Fimble.
An Eagle Scout, Charles graduated from Sam Houston State Teacher’s College with a degree in accounting, which paved the way for a successful business career. He worked as an accountant and CPA at Ernst and Ernst and later served as Chief Financial Officer at St. Mary’s Hospital in Galveston, Texas. After leaving St. Mary’s, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to own three Ron’s Krispy Fried Chicken franchises, two Casa Ole’ restaurants, a boat store, and many other endeavors.
Charles was a faithful member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Nassau Bay, Texas, for over 50 years. He dedicated many years of service as the church treasurer, reflecting his commitment to both his faith and his community.
Charles was always an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, particularly duck hunting, and spent many joyful days fishing, with annual trips to Alaska, Costa Rica, and Mexico being among his favorite adventures. He also enjoyed boating and offshore fishing, often sharing these passions with his family.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 18220 Upper Bay Rd, Nassau Bay, TX on November 18, 2024 at 12:00 pm. There will be a visitation prior to the service, starting at 10:00 am, and a reception in the church Life Center following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church Endowment fund or a charity of your choice in Charles’ honor.
