Thomas G. Greenough of Las Vegas, NV, passed away at home on May 7, 2025. Born in Leominster, MA, on May 1, 1947, and was the son of George and Maxine (Smith) Greenough. He graduated high school in 1965.
Tom joined the Air Force on July 21, 1967, and spent four years stationed at Ellsworth AFB in South Dakota, as a civil engineer. After discharging from the military in 1971, Tom moved back to Leominster, where he worked at EB Kingman Company.
In 1985, Tom gained employment with the corporate office for TJMaxx, as a data analyst. In 2005, he transferred to the TJMaxx distribution center in Las Vegas. He celebrated retirement in 2012.
He loved visiting his family in Maine during his younger years. If he wasn’t visiting Goose Rocks, he was cooking with his family. Being raised on the Eastern coast of Maine, his favorite food was seafood, naturally.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Greenough, stepsons, Chad Hunt of Leominster, MA, Shane Hunt and wife Erin of Phillipston, MA, and one Granddaughter, Maize. Tom is pre deceased by his Mother, Maxine (Smith) Greenough, and his Father George E. Greenough.
Tom was a member of the Hog Group. He acted as the photographer for the group. He enjoyed volunteering for events, organizing rides, or helping other riders. He loved the curving mountain roads, back roads and by ways. He traveled many miles together with is brothers and sisters of the road. His motto “Let’s go for a short ride.” We would ride for miles, never knowing where we would end up.
Forever riding free, his friends always teased him by saying, “Make sure you have your toothbrush and clean clothes, if you are going on a short ride with Tom.”
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
