Sandra gave her life to Christ at an early age.
Sandra attended John Marshall High School in Chicago, IL and graduated June 1962. She was employed at EPA 40 years then retired.
Sandra was a fun, loving beautiful woman inside and out. She was an avid “shopper.” She loved taking cruises and collecting “elephants.” She dressed to the “nine” which means she was a “sharp classy woman who loved fine clothing, and jewelry.” When she stepped out, people took notice! When Sandra loved you, she loved you with her whole heart and would do anything for you.
Sandra has one son, Bryan Wardell Darden (Gurnee, IL) who was the light of her life along with her 2 grandsons, Kienan Darden, and Kobe Darden.
Her sister, Kimberley Dumas who Sandra affectionately called, Kimmie were like twins almost inseparable. Kimberley affectionately called Sandra, “San.” You very seldom saw one without the other. The love relationship they shared was bar none. Kimmie gladly took excellent care of her big sister. San knew her baby sister, Kimmie had her back at all cost. Sandra was a trooper. She fought cancer as long as she could until she expressed she was tired. Sandra transitioned this life and went to heaven to be with Jesus, Tuesday, April 15, 2025 while Kimmie and Sandra's husband Reggie were bedside.
Sandra Mae Dumas-Crudup leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Reginald Lamar Crudup, her son, Bryan Wardell Darden (Gurnee, IL), grandson’s, Kienan Darden, Kobe Darden, Kimberley Dumas (Henderson, NV) a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and her three besties..Joan Young, Karen (Kay) Pitchford (Las Vegas), and Minister Cheryl McElroy (Indiana) who all love and miss Sandra dearly. Thank you everyone for your prayers, calls, text messages, and other acts of kindness. We cannot express how much it means to us. God bless you all!
SHE’S GONE
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she’s gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
Be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she’d want
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
Humbly Submitted,
Kimberley Dumas, aka, Kimmie, your baby sister, who will always love and miss you, San!
