Robert Bejan Sulliman Jr.

Robert Bejan Sulliman Jr, age 77, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 12:23pm, with his loving wife, Daryll Ann Carter Sulliman, by his bedside. After a brave, hard fought battle with cancer, his final days were warm and peaceful, surrounded by family and friends.

Born March 17, 1946, in New Britain CT, Bob graduated from Ferris State University, with a degree in Business. Bob joined the United States Secret Service, working detail for multiple Presidents including Nixon, Carter, Ford, and Reagan. A true American patriot, Bob maintained his commitment to public service after transitioning from government to Real Estate, running for CT State Senate in 1988 and again in 1990. Upon relocation, he chartered the SCA Republican Club, serving as President. He also served as past President of the Nevada Republican Club. He was a strong supporter of various military and law enforcement organizations. A man of faith, he was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, serving God as an usher at St Francis of Assisi.

Those who knew Bob knew he was a devoted family man. He lived for his and Daryll Ann’s children and grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to brag about all their accomplishments. He looked forward to family gatherings where they would talk about life, sports, politics, and law enforcement. Born into a die-hard Red Sox family, Bob enjoyed watching games and talking stats with his mom, sisters and kids. Bob adored his wife, Daryll Ann. Their favorite times together included playing cards and games with family and friends, and watching Women’s UConn Husky and Las Vegas Aces games, fist bumping each other after EVERY basket.

A perpetual optimist with a charismatic personality, “Big Bob” had sparkling eyes and an infectious laugh. He enjoyed getting to know new people. His favorite days included luncheons where he could talk to people and network. He loved to invite new friends and reserve seats for people at his table. It is no coincidence that Bob passed at 12:23pm. He knew God had a reservation for him at His table that day.

Bob is survived by his wife and best friend of over 20-years, Daryll Ann, his loyal dog, Gabi, his siblings and their spouses Jeanine and David Goodhue, Carol Babb, George and Lisa Sulliman as well as his children and their spouses, Derek, Jen, Brian, Kate, Jason, Jean, and Jessica Sulliman, and his grandchildren, Aiden, Chelsea, Lilly, Grace, Chase, Lucas, Joe & Thaddeus.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Bejan and Jeannine Ida Sulliman of Forestville, CT, his brother, Mark Renaud Sulliman, his nephew Mark David Goodhue, as well as his beloved Uncle Sam Sulliman, who were all eagerly awaiting his arrival at the gates of heaven.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to his compassionate caregivers, especially Dr. Rupesh Parikh, the Oncology Team at St Rose Sienna Hospital, and his loving nurses at Nathan Adelson Hospice. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 10am at St Francis of Assisi, located at 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway, with a Celebration of Life to follow on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 11am-2pm at the Sun City Anthem Center, located at 2450 Hampton Road, both in Henderson Nevada.
