Rita S. Macchietto

Rita Macchietto (nee Simoneau) passed away on May 6, 2019 at the age of 88. Rita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to all. She died peacefully with her loving family surrounding her in Boulder City, Nevada.

Rita met the love of her life, Albert Macchietto on Valentine’s Day in 1953, married 9 months later and remained married until Albert’s passing in 2018.

Rita loved to entertain in her home, cook amazing dinners, scrapbook with friends, make beautiful flower arrangements, play bridge, take care of her family and friends, and most of all, spend time with her beloved husband laughing about life.

Rita will be sorely missed and is survived by her three children, Alan Macchietto, Amy Macchietto, and Gina Buffaloe, daughter-in-law Kim Macchietto, son-in-law Mathew Korey, grandchildren, Michael, Julia, Amelia, and Eli and great-grandchild Nella.

All who loved her dearly will never forget her generosity, gregariousness, tenacity, and zest for life.
