It is with heavy hearts, we share the passing of our Michael Thomas Eustace, on the morning of April 3rd, 2025. He was born on April 1st, 1954, in Palo Alto, CA raised in Sunnyvale, CA by his loving parents, WWII Navy Veteran Robert P. Eustace, and Mother Charlotte M. Eustace. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Ana, and his five children, Fernando, Alex, Antonio, Angie and Nickie, his grandchildren Tristan and Israel and his beloved pets Hunter, Mochie and Luna.
Mike was a joyful person, he loved life, he wanted to live forever, even though he spent the last ten years of his life in a wheelchair due to three strokes and a couple heart attacks.
He was always cracking jokes, his laugh was very contagious, every day was a new adventure for all of us. He traveled with his family, enjoyed going to new stores, having big dinners with the family, driving his motorcycles, surfing and working in his field. The lost of use of one hand and one leg, did not stop him from learning new hobbies, such as painting, making bracelets, wallets to give away, or teaching his art to others. He worked as a Chief Engineer at Marriot Corporation, where he found the love of his life. He taught in HVAC schools, worked as a Mechanical Engineer in many other HVAC and refrigeration companies. He belonged to the Veterans Voice Council of Long Beach, where he volunteered his time and money to help other Veterans. He was very involved in helping Paralyzed Veterans of America, Suicide Prevention and Homeless organizations. He was also very involved in his youngest son Nickie’s Martial Arts and Wrestling competitions. He would get up at five am to make peanut butter sandwiches, cut fruit for the whole team, carry the drinks, buy uniforms, shoes, equipment and whatever the team needed. He made sure his five children have a higher education, food on the table and a roof over their heads.
Mike had a happy simple life, yet it felt magnificent because all the love and kindness he poured around all of us.
A memorial was served in Las Vegas, NV, his final resting place will be in Riverside, CA National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, we ask to honor Mike by making a donation to VETERANS VOICE COUNCIL OF LONG BEACH, 3901 Burly Ave, Orange CA 92869
