Kenneth Wisnoski, 70, of Texas, passed away peacefully in his Nevada home in the early hours of April 21, 2025. After suffering a severe stroke years ago, the family was told he was lucky to live 6 more months. Miraculously, he proved everyone wrong by not only living beyond experts’ expectations, but also by reinventing himself through continuous therapy including playing music and ballroom dancing. Ken was able to go back to his favorite place - the gym. In addition, he began a love of new skills such as arts and crafts. These hobbies brought him great joy through the challenges he was facing.
Ken’s education was both in Texas and abroad, where he studied in Italy. Over the span of his life, his passion for learning never diminished. Ken was an avid reader, often finishing a book daily and found a profound meaning in reading Scripture. He loved to study languages and could often be found practicing Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, German, and French. Ken’s commitment to expanding his knowledge was at the foundation of who he was.
Ken had an amazing career which spanned the energy, infrastructure and mining industries that lasted more than 35 years. He was known in the various fields as a force to reckoned with, but also as a charismatic leader. He was second to none in developing and nurturing relationships with his clients, his colleagues and his team. Known the world over by many government officials, companies and certainly airlines, he built a lasting legacy in this world. One which was founded on supporting others while developing some of the greatest global projects in existence today.
A gifted speaker and a brilliant businessman, his work in the energy industry took him around many countries in the world every month. His world was not only defined by success, but by a genuine interest in the people and cultures he encountered. His favorite countries to visit were Italy and Switzerland, which held a special place in his heart.
As a devout Catholic, Ken often attended Mass and found profound importance in studying the catechism and scripture. His family finds comfort in the strength of his faith.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife of twenty years, Marcela, his son Jeff, wife Megan and son Owen, his daughter Rachel and son Andrew. He also leaves behind his brothers Mark, Andrew and David along with many nephews and nieces.
