Jimmie grew up in the bay area, and in the fall of 1951, he met Sandra Costa. After just a year of courtship, they were married on September 12th, 1952, in a courthouse in San Jose, California.
Jimmie served in the army, and was stationed at Pearl Harbor, during the Korean War. He worked hard and was able to finally secure a career at UPS, where he would later retire at the age of 55.
Jimmie is survived by his four grandchildren, Laura Proctor, Randy Cox, Ryan Cox, and Stefanie Minor, as well as his great-grandchildren, Evan Proctor, Maggie Cox, Madi Cox, Tristan Proctor, Lindsey Minor, MJ Minor, and Nadine Cox.
