

On September 12, 2024, Jason Robert Smulo, 32, of Las Vegas, NV passed away after a courageous battle with oral cancer. Jason was a cherished family member, friend, and restaurant manager and was a beacon of kindness, thoughtfulness, and dedication.
Jason was born on October 12, 1991, in Aruba to Howard and Jo Smulo. He spent the first six years of his life in the tropical paradise before relocating to Lakewood, CA, where his family lived for 10 years until moving to Las Vegas.
Jason was an avid baseball enthusiast and Boston Red Sox fan. His love for the game began at a young age and continued throughout his life. He was not only a fan but also a player, having spent most of his adolescence on the baseball field, where he made many of his lifelong friends.
In 2016, Jason graduated with a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Administration/Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He started his restaurant management career at TGI Friday’s before moving to Caesars Entertainment, where he worked for the last seven years. During his tenure, he contributed his talents to renowned establishments such as Guy Fieri's Las Vegas Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen and Pub & Grill, Vanderpump à Paris, and Bugsy and Meyer's Steakhouse. His passion for excellence and warm demeanor left a lasting impression on colleagues and patrons alike.
Above all, Jason's pride and joy was his son, Reid. He was an incredible father, deeply committed to Reid's happiness and well-being. Jason's unwavering love and dedication to his family were evident in all that he did.
Jason is survived by his fiancée, Ashley Lee, their three-year-old son, Reid, his parents, Howard and Jo Smulo, his sister, Jennifer Smulo, and his maternal grandmother, Jo Ann Patton. He was also the devoted best friend of his dog, Chef.
Jason Smulo will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
