Janis married Marvin Huck in Brighton, CO in 1975 and they lived there for many years and raised their children there. They later moved the family to Las Vegas/Henderson, NV where they previously loved to visit throughout the years.
Janis loved to play softball. She usually played 1st base. Her arms would be running faster than her legs when she would round the bases! She also loved to bowl and won many trophies with her league.
In later years, she loved to crochet afghans, pillows, ponchos, scarves, and dish rags that she would gift to her family and friends. She learned this skill from her mother Dora.
Janis liked to say she was the funniest person in the family just like her favorite person, her Granny Josie had been. We would all have to agree! Everyone appreciated her bluntness and her telling you like it was. She is quoted as saying, "My heart is good, it's my mouth that is bad!"
The most important thing to her in the entire world was her family. She did everything for them, including forgoing having a career so she could be home with them 24/7.
She is survived by her husband Marvin Huck and her three daughters, twins Stephanie Gail Huck Evans (Married to Greg Evans), Shelley Claudean Huck Schulte (Married to Robin Schulte), and her youngest daughter, Kimberly JoAnn Huck Trede (Married to Robert Trede).
She adored all of her grandchildren: Elijah Frederick Kreutzer (27) Emily Jordan Trede (25) Savannah Nicole Kreutzer(25) Braden Thomas Evans (23) Jillian Gail Evans (21) Alyson Grace Evans (19) Abigail Summer Trede (17) Jackson Robert Dean Trede 1 2 )

Janis was known for her baking skills. She made sure to always have something homemade for her family when they came to visit. She created a cookbook for her daughters with all of the family recipes in it.
She loved a good piece of chocolate, a glass of fine wine, and seeing and hearing the ocean waves. She was loved by so many and will be forever in our hearts.
