Our beloved wife, mother, and friend, Gail Patricia (Jackson) Campbell passed away on August 7, 2023. Gail was born in Queens, New York on July 29, 1940, and raised in Saugus, Massachusetts. Gail was one of 12 siblings, 10 brothers, and 1 sister. At age 20, Gail moved to California where she met and married her husband Clay Campbell of 62 years. Gail and Clay raised their 3 children, Dennis, Ann Margaret, and Tish in California where they lived until 2000, at which time they retired to Henderson, Nevada.
Gail was an avid bowler and huge sports fan; she especially loved her Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and Las Vegas Golden Knights. She also loved watching the Little League World Series every summer. She was a dedicated grandmother who loved watching her grandkids play soccer, hockey, football, volleyball, and baseball. Gail was very active in her church as a parishioner and member of the St. Clare of Assisi Women’s Guild.
Gail is survived by her husband Clay Campbell, son Dennis Campbell (wife Elene), daughters Ann Margaret Campbell and Tish Campbell Keefe (husband Marty), grandchildren Neil Campbell, Alexi Campbell Cronick (husband Jacob), Gavin Campbell, Martin Campbell Keefe, great-grandchildren Ryder and Callie Rae, brothers Danny and Wayne, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother Anna Jackson, brothers Leonard, Charles, Richard, Robert, Jimmy, Ronald, Neil, Gary, and sister Barbara.
Gail was a very special person. As one of her friends said, Gail never met a stranger, as she always had a warm embrace and a smile for everyone. She was always there for her family and friends, whether it was caring for grandchildren, nursing a sick friend, or driving a neighbor to the hospital when she went into labor, Gail was always ready to lend a helping hand. She had a great sense of humor and she simply loved life. She will forever be remembered for her kindness and compassion. She will be missed.
Celebration of Life will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 2300 Sunridge Heights Pkwy, Henderson, NV on Monday, August 28th at 10 am. Reception to follow at church.
