On September 8th at 3:08 PM, Clare Louise Cawood (McEachron) took her last earthly breath, and with that same breath she was embraced by Jesus – and soon after she was in the arms of her late husband, John Lawrence Cawood.
Clare was born on August 27th, 1948, and was raised in Stoughton, Massachusetts, a tight-knit community where she lived with her large family of nine siblings. Clare is survived by one, her sister – Gail.
She is survived by her son Paul, 54 years old of Las Vegas, Nevada; he is married to Kelly (Rupp) and they have two children, Logan Calinao and Eric Erickson. Her daughter Cindy, 51 years old of San Antonio, Texas, is married to Keith Gedick and they have two children, Zoeii Snyder, and Rebekah Gedick.
Clare was one of the funniest, hard-working, and honest co-workers one could have, and her accomplishments are too much for one eulogy – and if you worked with her at any point, you would understand that sentiment.
Clare was certainly fun! She was sharp-witted and poked fun in a way that made you feel like you were part of her fondest friend group – and even so much as family. Clare was also one of the most influential resources in awkward, albeit social circumstances; her warmth had a gravitational pull toward kindness, grace, and love for the most hesitant.
Clare was also incredibly strong (and stubborn), and her strength carried her through many difficult situations over her 75 years, and although strong, she lost her battle with cancer, but did not go down without a fight. She thought often, and discussed openly about what eternity will look, and feel like in her last days, and when teased with even a glimpse of Heaven, she turned her face upward and didn’t look back.
Rest easy Clare you created an incredible legacy that will live on through everyone who was honored to know you, and the world is a better place because you lived!
You will be missed beyond comprehension!
Save a place on the porch for us…
To God be the glory.
