Annette was born on January 26, 1937, in London, England, and was a lifelong resident of Pacific Grove, California—a community she loved dearly and called home for most of her life. In her later years, she also spent time in Otto, North Carolina, and Las Vegas, Nevada, choosing to live near her children and, in Las Vegas, close to her sister, niece, nephew, and their large extended family.
She passed away following a short illness, surrounded by family who loved her deeply.
Annette retired from a long and respected career at Pacific Bell, where she was admired for her dedication, professionalism, and steady presence. In retirement, she embraced life to the fullest, becoming an avid and joyful member of the Red Hat Society, where she found lasting friendships and heartfelt connections.
She had a deep love for travel and adventure, a passion she carried with her even into her final days. Her curious spirit, sense of humor, and appreciation for life made her a treasured companion and an inspiration to all who knew her.
Annette is survived by her children: Chris and Cathy Lombardo of Scottsdale, Arizona; Lori and Daniel Cabe of Otto, North Carolina; and Lisa Lombardo of West Palm Beach, Florida. Her daughter, Lynn Lombardo of Pacific Grove, California, preceded her in passing. She also leaves behind her beloved grandson, Kyle Cabe of Otto, North Carolina; her dear sister, Margaret Anderson; her niece, Michele Scalzo; and her nephew, Kevin Anderson—all of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is also survived by her cousin, Gerald Petter of Greenville, South Carolina.
A private service will be held at a future date. In honor of Annette’s memory, we invite you to share a moment of kindness or adventure with someone you love—just as she would have.
