Alice Marie Ward Dodd passed away peacefully on November 3, 2018 surrounded by her family, she was 82. Alice was born in Salina, Kansas and graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1954. Her older brother Tom introduced her to the love of her life Paul Eugene Dodd at the Keen-Time Dance at the Antelope Pavillion on October 3rd, 1952, engaged on April 23, 1954 and they were later married on December 26, 1954. They lived in El Paso, Texas; Pasco, Washington; Palmdale, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. Alice worked as a bank teller, a sales clerk at J.C. Penny and an office manager for the Sheet Metal Workers Local #88.
Alice enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved traveling the world, dancing, making crafts, and taking in plays and shows.
Alice was a member of the Methodist Youth Choir as a child, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority as a young adult, the Red Hat Society, and the Solaria Dance Group-“You’re never too old to dance.”
Alice is survived by her daughter Paula Fuller of Las Vegas NV, son Larry Dodd and his wife Cheng Lin of Lake Forest CA; brother James (Jim) Ward of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren Nicole Loberg and her husband Justin, Daniel Fuller and his wife Bridget, & Rachel Rindt all of Las Vegas, NV. Jonathan, Joshua, Caleb, Isaac, and Luke Dodd, all of Lake Forest, CA; great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Kylie, and Kendall Loberg, Dylan, Brooklyn, and Kennedy Fuller, all of Las Vegas, NV; and many nieces and nephews.
Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul Dodd, parents Raymond and Berth Ward, sister Berthamae “Mickey” Stille, brother Thomas “Tom” Ward, and her favorite aunt Edith “Edy” Clark.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to either: The American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association.
