William Thomas McDowell, son of Nannie McDowell and Willie McDowell born December 12th, 1941, in Johnson City, Tennessee. He served 21 years in the Army and retired in 1984, after which, he went on to work another 20+ years in the IT field. Throughout his military career, and beyond, he was blessed to travel to many different states and countries, and he was loved by everyone he encountered, all over the world - he literally never met a stranger! A devout man of faith, he served in many capacities, in whatever congregation he was a part of. He constantly gave above and beyond, with every work of his hand.
Mr. Tee, as he was often affectionately called, met the love of his life Diana McDowell, in 1990 and they were married on June 15th, 1991. They began their life together right here in Florida, and later, left Florida to travel the world together, experiencing people and places that would take a lifetime for them to share! He left his legacy of love in every country that he landed in! He was an amazingly strong person - generous, considerate, genuine, and wise. A husband, father, friend, and brother like no other!
Although a techie at heart, he had so many other interests and talents that he loved, from drawing, to photography, fishing, bowling, carpentry, traveling, and so much more! He was extremely sharp and had a keen eye for advanced crossword puzzles, word games, etc., as well as, a knack for figuring out how to build or construct whatever he put his mind to. This tenacity and determination to meet life head-on aided in his desire to talk with and, eventually, become a Jehovah's Witness. He became a Jehovah's Witness on January 2nd, 2021. He dove into the ministry with his whole heart, open mind, and consistent effort, and never looked back! His life and his legacy are a reflection of his devout nature and his love for people. He served with love, honesty and devotion up until the end.
He is survived by his wife, Diana McDowell, and four daughters:
Sa'Brina McDowell-Cross, Janice McDowell, La'Tonya Norman, Stephanie Andrews, Anissa McDowell (Deceased). Two sons, and one son-in-law: Titus McDowell, Terence McDowell, and C. Michael Norman.
There is one surviving brother: Carl McDowell, Grant McDowell and Nancy McFall (Deceased).
As well as a host of nieces, nephews, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Through all of us, his legacy lives on!!
