Wesley Reid Johnson

Wesley Reid Johnson, born June 6, 1925 in West Pittston, PA, passed August 26, 2019 in Leesburg, FL where he resided for the last 38 years. Wesley was a WWII vet enlisted in the Navy, taught instrumental education and held administrative positions in the NY State education system, most recently in Wilson, NY. He was very active in several musical groups in the Leesburg area. He was predeceased by his wife, Nan M. Johnson in 2014, is survived by his brother, Robert A. Johnson (wife and daughter), his four children, Scott R. Johnson (Melissa), Brad L. Johnson, (Helen), Dariel L. Haggerty, (Kevin), and Kim E. Clause. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 2nd at 11:00am at the Hawthorne Clubhouse in Leesburg, FL. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to Morrison United Methodist Church Music Fund or Hawthorne Community Music Club Fund.
