Ronald Arthur Ringler, 85, of the Villages, FL passed from this life on Sunday, March 19, 2017. Ronald was born in Seville, OH on October 10, 1931. He was raised and attended high school in Seville. He excelled in football and basketball and married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Baker, in 1952. He worked for Consolidated Freightways (CF) as a truck driver and moved to York, PA with his wife and four young children in 1963. He worked 38 years for CF and retired in 1995. Ron and Shirley moved to The Villages in 1998 and enjoyed playing tennis, pickleball, and golf. Ron especially enjoyed playing cards and making his delicious coffee cakes for family and friends. He was loved by so many people that knew him. He is survived by his wife Shirley Ringler and brother Jack Ringler of Indianapolis, IN; his four children (Judith Narber, Ronald Ringler, Lynda Hoffman, Lisa Smith); nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. There will be a "Celebration of Life" on Monday, March 27th at the Chapel of Christian Faith in the Villages at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice - The Villages Hospice House, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
