He was born August 4, 1930 in San Diego, California to his parents Lowell Lashbrook and Sarah Lois Esslinger. He grew up on the beaches of San Clemente, California and attended Capistrano High School. He played tennis, track, football, and baseball. He played trumpet in his own swing band for many dances. Bob went into the Navy and was stationed out of Honolulu, Hawaii.
He married Barbara Westman and they raised four children; John, Ron, Larry, and Cherie. He owned a Western Auto store for a few years before going into construction, mainly finishing concrete. They moved to Washington state where he continued his trade.
The last seventeen years before retirement, he was employed by Boeing Aircraft in Everett, Washington where he met and married Sharon Burrell. After retirement they traveled and came to The Villages, Florida and enjoyed over thirty years together. He was very devoted and loved his family.
Bob had been a Little League and Babe Ruth coach and had many years of service in the Lions and Elk Clubs. He enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, tennis, swimming, and over eighty years with his passion for golf. He loved people and enjoyed over ten years as "Greeter" for Fairway Christian Church.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, Lowell(Lefty) and Sarah (Lois) Lashbrook, sister, Charlene (Art) Hatfield.
Bob is survived by his brother, Jack Lashbrook of San Clemente, California, wife, Sharon Lashbrook of The Villages, Florida, children: John (Marcia) of Monroe, Washington, Ron Lashbrook of Sultan, Washington, Larry (Mary Jo) Lashbrook of Tucson, Arizona, Cherie (Ken) Gieseke of Chewelah, Washington, ten grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren.
Step children; Juanita (Doug) Thomas and Anita (Mike) McCue both of Quilcene, Washington, Diana Carman of Bremerton, Washington, and Tamara (Jimmy) Ferguson of Auburn, Washington, six step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Fairway Christian Church with full Military honors. Reception to follow at church fellowship hall.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date in Everett, Washington.
