Robert (Bob) James Hove, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 1, 2017 in the Villages Florida. Bob was born on May 7, 1934 in Fosston, Minnesota to Hans and Sarah Hove. He grew up with one brother, Alan, and many cousins. He graduated from Fosston High School in 1952. Bob served in the Army from 1954 – 1956 where he was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany as part of the occupation forces. It was there that he met and later married the love of his life, Sandy. Bob and Sandy married on December 29, 1956 and were married for 60 years. He is survived in life by his loving wife Sandy Hove, two sons Charles Hove (Minneapolis, MN) and Mike Hove (Palm Harbor, FL) and his daughter Nancy Hove Jackson (Bowling Green, KY). Bob is also survived by four grandchildren Ann Hove Paisner (Seattle, Wa ), Nik Hove (Chicago, Il), Carter Jackson (Bowling Green), Cole Jackson (Bowling Green) and one great grandchild Alanna Paisner (Seattle). Bob was a loving husband, father and friend as well as a hardworking man who was respected as a founder and President of North Central Harvestore in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He had many interests in life especially water sports, flying, music and wood carving. Bob was a private pilot for most of his life, and Bob and Sandy spent extended time sailing in the Bahamas, Exumas, the Keys and the Florida coast. Bob could play many musical instruments by ear and enjoyed singing in many choirs during his adult life. He learned to carve wood while living in The Villages, and his family cherishes his many carvings gifted to them. A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017, at 1:00 pm at New Covenant United Methodist Church, 3470 Woodridge Drive in The Villages, Florida where he was an active member. A reception with light refreshments/food will follow. The family welcomes all to attend and celebrate Bob’s life as he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
