Judith “Judy” Ann Seitter, 81, of Wildwood, FL (formerly of Leesburg, FL) passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023. She was born September 16, 1941, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Robert and Doris Prey. In 1959, Judy graduated with honors from Big Foot High School in Walworth, Wisconsin, after receiving the school’s first DAR Citizenship Award.
On October 1, 1960, Judy married Larry Zell in Walworth, WI, where they settled down and began to raise a family. After Larry passed in 1979, she later married Harold Thompson, and relocated to Florida until Harold’s passing in the late eighties. Many years later, she met and fell in love with Donald Seitter, whom she married on September 21, 2003. Judy and Don were members of Community United Methodist Church in Fruitland Park, FL.
Judy had a beautiful voice and she enjoyed singing in choirs throughout her life. She also enjoyed her daily crossword puzzles, going out to dinner with friends, and bowling.
Surviving is Don, her husband of 19 years, daughter Lianne (Rick) Owens of Wildwood, son Michael (Suzette) Zell of Huntersville, North Carolina, stepdaughter Vicki McNair of Sanford, and stepson Steve (Donna) Seitter of Fruitland Park, three grandsons, Ricky, Matthew and Damian, and two great granddaughters Amy Grace and Samantha. She is also survived by two sisters June (John) Phillips of Delavan, WI, and Susan Nelson, of Walworth, WI.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her infant son, Larry Jr.
The funeral service will be held at 10 am Monday, March 27, 2023, at Community United Methodist Church, 309 College Avenue, Fruitland Park, FL. A celebration of life will immediately follow. Private interment will be held at the Florida National Cemetery at 2pm. Flowers or donations in her name may be directed to Community United Methodist Church.
