Barbara Ann Skeps TeCroney went home to Jesus on August 26, 2025 at age 85 after numerous health challenges and progressive dementia. Throughout her life, she held unwavering faith in God which she clung to during life’s joys and challenges.
Born on August 11, 1940, in Clymer, NY, Barbara was the beloved daughter of John and Edith Skeps. She spent her childhood in Buffalo, NY, and graduated from Bennett High School. In March of 1959, Barbara met the love of her life, Norvel TeCroney, through family friends. They married that December and built their life together, raising two children, Natalie and Paul, on the family dairy farm. In 1975, the family moved to Jamestown, NY. As “empty nesters” they lived their later years in Naples FL where they enjoyed many motorcycle trips and adventures with the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. They then moved to Hiawassee GA and Leesburg FL.
Barbara is now reunited in eternal peace with her parents, John and Edith Skeps, and her sister Patricia. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Norvel TeCroney; her children, Natalie Campaneria (Virgil) and Paul TeCroney (Sheila), and her cherished grandchildren Alex Campaneria (Nice Lopez) and Alicia Campaneria. She is also remembered with love by many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and her love for her family was evident in everything she did. She had a lifelong passion for fabric, clothing design, quilting, and sewing. She shared her talents at her fabric shop called “Barb’s Sewing Basket” and by teaching sewing classes to many in the Clymer and Jamestown/Greenhurst communities. Barbara’s sewing room was a central part of every one of her homes, always filled with fabric, projects, and multiple sewing machines, each with a different purpose. Despite arthritis and fading vision, she continued working with fabric until her final days.
Barbara had a soft spot in her heart for animals, rescuing numerous abandoned cats throughout her life. One in particular, her beloved “Skywalker”, lived for many years under her dedicated care, while needing to be fed liquid food every 4 hours. Grandchildren, Sewing and Cats were her favorite topics of conversation.
Barbara always told her family “ I DO NOT want flowers when I’m dead” adding, “I want to enjoy them when alive”. Because of her self-proclaimed love of family, fabric and cats she would be very pleased to have donations made in her honor to Hoffmeyer Animal Rescue 296 Silverado St. Tavares, FL.

May we find comfort in the following words from John 11:25-26 "Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die."
Barbara now rests in the arms of the Savior, free from pain and sorrow, rejoicing in the presence of the Almighty.
