Barbara H. Simpson, 91 years of age, passed peacefully on Wednesday 2/22/2017. Mrs. Simpson was born in Passaic, New Jersey, and spent her childhood years in Belleville, New Jersey. She spent the first 26 years of her marriage to John Simpson, raising her family in Nutley, New Jersey; followed by over 15 years in Fayetteville, New York. She retired from Agway Corporation as a bookkeeper, and moved with her husband to The Villages, Florida in 1987. She was a devout member of St. George Episcopal Church in The Villages. She was also a member of the Eastern Star in Nutley, New Jersey. Since 1972, Barbara had a summer home in Clayton, New York. After retirement, she and John volunteered many happy hours at the Antique Boat Museum and at the Opera House in Clayton, New York. Barbara enjoyed spending time in the 1000 Islands, New York boating with her family, working in the garden and traveling with her husband. She also enjoyed spending quality time with her five grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Barbara was married to her late husband John Simpson for 68 beautiful years. Survivors include: Randall John Simpson (son), Ellen-Jane Brady (Gary) (daughter and son in-law), 5 grandchildren Aaron Simpson, Brent Simpson, Kristen Simpson, Garon Adam Brady and Jessica Blank and 1 great granddaughter, Shelby Collins. A memorial services will be held on April 6th, Thursday, at 1100 AM at St. George Episcopal Church, in The Villages, Florida.
