William Thomas Cowan

William Thomas Cowan (Bill) passed away on Sunday February 19th 2023, one day after his 85th birthday. He was born on February 18th, 1938 in Greenville Texas where he grew up with his parents and two older sisters.

Bill worked as Security Police in the Air Force retiring after almost 23 years. He then worked at DOE as a Courier, then as Security/Safety at first Y-12 then K-25 in Oak Ridge TN where he retired for the second time.

He was actively involved in camping with family, attending church, participating in the Phu Cat Vietnam AFB reunions held in the States, loved volunteering at the Loring AFB Heritage Center in Limestone, Maine and spending time with family and friends in TN and New Brunswick Canada.

Mr. Cowan is preceded in death by his father; Thomas Cowan and mother; Margorie (Cain) Cowan, both sisters; Carolyn Sims and Colleen Stremming.

He is survived by his wife; Marilyn (Fisher) Cowan, daughter; Denise Ciesielski, two sons; William Cowan II and Wallace Cowan, and grandchildren; Kaitlyn Parker and Austin Parker
