Robert Joseph Malottki

Robert "Bob" Malottki, 75, of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, formerly of Granite City and Collinsville, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on June 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife, Karen, and his family.

Bob was born on August 27, 1949, at St. Mary's Hospital in East St. Louis, Illinois, to Albert Arthur Jr. and Ruth Marie (Sprajcar) Malottki.

Bob graduated from St. Elizabeth School in 1963 where he was awarded the American Legion Award and Granite City Senior High School in Granite City, Illinois, with the Class of 1967. In 2023 Bob was inducted into the Granite City Sports Hall of Fame along with his 1967 Warrior Tennis Team teammates who were undefeated and Southwestern Conference District and Regional Champions. These achievements, along with others, garnered Bob a tennis scholarship to Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, where he studied engineering and competed on the university's tennis team. He later graduated from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1972.

Bob dedicated nearly 50 years of his life to the profession of pharmacy, where he was respected for his knowledge, compassion, and unwavering commitment to caring for others. Outside of his career, he found great joy on the golf course and tennis court, in his garden, and, above all, with his family. He was known for his fun-loving personality, his kindness, quiet strength, generous spirit, and genuine love for those around him and will be remembered by all who knew him.

Above all else, Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He shared nearly 56 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Karen Raye (Thomas) Malottki. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Robert Steven "Bobby" Malottki and daughter-in-law, Lauren Bettorf; his cherished granddaughters, Cecylia Malottki and Isabella Bettorf; his grandson, Robert "Bobby" French; his sisters, Linda Neumann of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, and Lori Silva and her husband, Tony Silva, of Granite City, Illinois, nephew and nieces, and great niece and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Arthur Jr. and Ruth Marie Malottki, his beloved son, David Christopher Malottki, and his brother-in-law, Walter Neumann.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 7503 Peavine Road, Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. Interment will follow in the church Columbarium. Family and friends are invited to gather afterward for a luncheon in Sheehan Hall to celebrate Bob's life and share memories.

In lieu of flowers, Bob requested that memorial donations be made in his honor to the Arthritis Foundation and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee.

Bob's legacy of love, integrity, and dedication to his family will live in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
