Richard Earl Pearson

Funeral services for Dick Pearson of Maryville, will be held at 10:00AM on Friday at Fairview Church with Pastor Gilbert Harris officiating. Mr. Pearson passed away on Tuesday at Morningview Village Assisted Living. Born in Joliet, Illinois on November 29, 1930, he was the son of the late John and Ida Pearson. Mr. Pearson graduated from University of Illinois with a degree in journalism. Mr. Pearson was retired from Pearson, Clark, and Sawyer Advertising and Public Relations Agency. He was an active member of Fairview Church. He was an avid hiker and loved being outdoors. Mr. Pearson is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Albert) of Riverside, California and his son Richard (Linda) of Thomasville, Georgia; Stepdaughter Gail Brittan of Reedsburg, Wisconsin; Stepson Mark Pottorff. Grandchildren Erin Pearson of Athens, GA; Lauren Pearson of Savannah, GA; Mike Brittan (Sherry) of Wisconsin Dells, WI; Jackie Bohmbach of Reedsburg, WI; Erica Swanson (Scott) of Reedsburg, WI; Becky Brittan of Watertown, WI; Greatgrandchildren: Brody, Oliver, Mahayla, Alaura, Sojai, and Katana; Greatgreatgrandchild: Romyn; Brother: Dan Pearson (Jeanne) of New Lenox, ILL. He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn (Mo), his daughter, Susie Haase, parents John and Ida Pearson, brother Jack Pearson.

Dick’s humor and encouragement will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank Morningview Village Assisted Living for the care and compassion they showed for Dick in his final days.
