Mary L Newton

Mary Lou went home to Jesus on Sunday, July 5th, 2026 with her family by her side. She was married to Robert A Newton January 2,1993 at Bok Tower Lake Wells, FL. They lived in Avon Park Florida until 2023 when they moved to Bulls Gap TN. Bob and her loved to go bowling together and ride their trike on their day dates. She will be deeply missed by her children, Michael Mertes (Sherry), Laurie Lamb (Al), Robert Newton Jr ( Michelle) and Bryce Newton. Her brother-in-law Jim Wright. Leaving her memory to 16 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and 2 on the way and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her mother Evelyn Plager, her husband Mope. Her father Gerald Swank, her brother David Swank and sister-in-law Sue, her sister Lou Ann Wright.

Mary Lou was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God, Rogersville TN. She enjoyed knitting, painting, reading and taking care of their cats, Angel and Christmas and their dog Nala Newton

There will be a Celebration of Life on July 25th at 12:00 at Crossroads Assembly of God.
