Born on August 8, 1938, Marjorie lived a life rooted in faith, family, and simple joys. A devoted Christian, she found comfort and strength in her relationship with the Lord, and her family takes peace in knowing she is now at rest with Him.
Marjorie’s greatest happiness was found in caring for those she loved. Her home was her heart – often filled with the warmth of family, friends, and the unmistakable aroma of something wonderful cooking. She was an exceptional cook and baker, known for meals that brought people together and created lasting memories. She was also a talented seamstress, a careful gardener who took pride in her flowers, and someone who could spend hours delighting in the quiet beauty of birds just outside her window.
She is survived by her three children: Kevin Hooper of St. Peters, Missouri; Meloni Jensen (Eric) of Irvine, California; and Michelle Volk of Knoxville, Tennessee. She also leaves behind a loving legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
Marjorie is further survived by her sister, Marian Watts (Delbert) of Butler, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her infant son; her parents, Eugene and Thelma Miller; and her brother, Eugene “Bud” Miller.
Marjorie will be remembered for her kindness, her steady presence, her deep love for her family, and the way she made a house feel like home. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she created, the skills she shared, and the love she gave so freely.
Honoring her wishes, no public service will be held. Her life will be celebrated quietly through the love she gave and the memories she leaves behind.
