Judith Delynne Pacini of Crete, Illinois, died on June 10, 2024 at the age of 77 in Crossville Tennessee. Judi was born July 3, 1946 in Wabash Indiana and was raised in Crete, moving to Chicago during her working years and then retired to Crossville Tennessee with her husband Gerard Pacini.
Judi was an accomplished singer throughout her lifetime. She attended Northwestern University for two years where she studied opera. She sang with her father’s orchestra as well as the Karl Linden Orchestra. Her later work was with church choirs. Her singing was instrumental in forming a singing group in association with Alzheimer’s Tennessee and their Memory Cafe program.
Judi was also an accomplished artist; oils, acrylics and watercolor were mediums in which she worked. She was a self-taught artist from early childhood and her work encompassed landscapes, still life and portraits.
Judi’s effervescent smile and optimistic personality always made people comfortable. People of every walk of life gravitated to her and her infectious smile and sparkling eyes. She was always willing to try anything including a 600 mile bicycle ride from Minneapolis to Chicago! Always moving, never sitting still. Gracious, giving and supportive, she could not pass by a baby or small child without saying hello.
Judi is survived by her husband of 25 years, Gerard Pacini, her daughters, Lori Napoli (Tinley Park IL), Wendi Napoli (Chicago, IL) and Kari Napoli (Los Angeles, CA), grandson Ayden Polecastro (Chicago, IL) and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Preceded in death by her father Paul G. Crumbaugh, mother, Lavon (nee: Buck) Crumbaugh, brothers David D. Crumbaugh, Paul A. Crumbaugh and Gary D. Niehaus.
