

Connie Von Behren, 75, passed away peacefully in her home on November 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Her life was a testament to resilience, strength, and an unwavering commitment to empowering others.
Born on August 31, 1949, in Sacramento, California, Connie lived with a deep sense of purpose. She proudly served as a Correctional Officer at Folsom Prison in Folsom, California, a career she cherished and excelled in until her retirement. Beyond her professional achievements, Connie was a passionate advocate for personal empowerment. As an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer and a dedicated volunteer at the Oak Ridge Sportsman Association, she spent the last decade of her life empowering women to protect themselves confidently and courageously.
Connie found joy in life’s simple pleasures and the company of loved ones. She had an enduring love for all things Costco, Young Living Essential Oils, music, flowers, plants, and, above all, her family. Known for her spontaneous acts of kindness, Connie’s selflessness touched everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cathleen and Leroy Von Behren, and her beloved daughter, also named Cathleen Von Behren. She is survived by her daughter, Jenny Shreeve; her son, Kelly Hill; her grandchildren, Cameron, Lauren, Corey, Jesse, CJ, and Carissa; and her ex-husband and lifelong friend, William Hull, who shared over 23 years of friendship and memories with her.
Connie’s spirit was indomitable, and she often saw herself as a phoenix, rising from challenges with grace and renewed fire. Her light and warmth inspired everyone who knew her, and her legacy will endure in the lives she touched.
A celebration of Connie’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember her. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Knoxville Area Rescue Ministry, reflecting Connie’s passion for helping others.
Connie Von Behren will forever be remembered as a beacon of strength, kindness, and love—a true phoenix whose spirit continues to soar.
