Marthanna Jane Schippers

She got a bachelors degree in sociology from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. She moved to LA briefly where she met Charles “Chuck” Schippers. They married in 1964 and settled in Oregon, with a brief period living in Anchorage, Alaska.

She worked as a preschool teacher and later as a special education teacher with children with severe disabilities. She retired and moved to Yakima in 2006 to be closer to her grandsons . She had a heart of gold and spoiled her grandchildren. She never said no to them.

She is preceded in death by her husband Chuck, her parents, her brother Bill.

She is survived by her daughter Theresa and son-in-law Jeremy, along with her grandsons Kieran & Cameron. Also survived by her son Craig and daughter in law Patricia, along with granddaughters Serenity & Tirzah, her cousin Neil and niece Kymn (Brendan.)
