Teddy was born on October 20, 1936, in Tonopah, Nevada, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2023, at 86. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, with a deep passion for horses and an unwavering commitment to her dreams.
Teddy is survived by her sister Kathy Henry, her daughter Nancy, and grandsons Jason and Preston. She was preceded in death by her sister Donna Anderson and her daughters, Melinda and Judi.
Teddy's heart was forever entwined with the world of horses and animals. She was very proud of the time she spent representing the Benton/Franklin Fair and Rodeo as a princess in 1954-1955. Her unwavering passion for these creatures was a driving force throughout her life. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to their care and well-being, striving tirelessly to fulfill her dream of becoming a revered figure in the equine community. Her dedication and love for horses have left an indelible mark that will be cherished and remembered for generations to come.
A celebration of Teddy's life will be held at the Carousel of Dreams in Kennewick, WA, on October 18th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, to honor her memory.
As we bid farewell to Arni "Teddy" McLenegan, we remember her vibrant spirit, determination, and love. May she find eternal peace in the company of the horses she adored and her loved ones who have gone before her.
