Born and raised in Norco, LA, Mr. Roberts wasn’t far from his childhood home at the time of his passing. He fell into eternal sleep inside his new home in Kenner, LA at 51 years young. He was beloved by his friends and family, and is survived by his 4 children, Jessica Roberts, Mason Roberts, Shayna Roberts, and Hazel Roberts, and 3 grandchildren, Talen Potter, Emmalyn Capps, and Violet Roberts.
In light of the many obstacles he faced throughout his life, there now exists a peace and exemption from the turmoil that is that of the living. The universe reclaimed a great deal of its energy with his retrieval, and in return we trust that it will generously provide us with the strength to accept his absence. Often after death, a stillness follows in its wake. A stagnance, in place of what was once an epitome of vitality. Although said silence is deafening, the ears of those who knew him will forever ring with his energy. We can all bear witness to the power held by the loss of an extraordinary individual. In these moments we beg the earth to be just as still and quiet, so that we might forget the incessant continuation of our days without him. We plead with time to give back something we were already borrowing. Thus, perspective is craved when digesting such an immense tragedy. We can hope to recognize the many opportunities still at hand, and be enlightened by the closeness of their grasp. With that knowledge, we will tastefully wield the reins of what's left of our own lives. “I would so live as if I knew that I received my being only for the benefit of others”-Seneca
