He joined the U.S. Airforce in the fall, served six years, and earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Finance. He worked in finance planning while in New York City, Boston, MA, New Orleans, LA, and Atlanta, GA. Tommy and Charles loved to travel and took several cruises abroad and in the U.S. while together. They were very active and celebrated Mardi Gras every year. Tommy was a founding member of Krewe of Petronius. He was also a member of Krewe of Orpheus and Krewe of King Arthur; he held several offices in the Krewe of Aremeinius and was Queen of Armeinius the 40th, in which the Ball was showcased in Tim Wolff’s Production, “The Sons of Tennessee Williams.” Tommy stated that he had no regrets and lived a wonderful life. Tommy had several artistic expressions that revolved around athletics, music, and theater. He ran marathons for twelve years, performed in “Pippin” and “West Side Story,” and energetically line-danced and two-stepped in the Country Western venues. Heartfelt appreciation is extended to the doctors and nurses at Woldenburg Village, Touro, and Passages Hospice, as well as to his wonderful friends and family who provided comfort and care to this sweet and gentle man.
