The Venerable Donald Bryan Rice

The Venerable Donald Bryan Rice passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 in Metairie, LA. Beloved husband of Sarah “Sally” Rice for forty-eight years. Brother of Richard Rice of New Bern, NC. Also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, and godchildren. Fr. Rice received a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Wooster, then went on to receive his M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary and his M.S. from Case Western Reserve University. He was the dean of Holyrood Seminary in Liberty, NY before moving to Metairie, LA, where he eventually retired as the rector of Christ Anglican Catholic Church. Fr. Rice was also an active member of the Caledonian Society of New Orleans. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Christ Anglican Catholic Church, 4316 N. Woodlawn Drive, Metairie, LA on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Anglican Catholic Church, the Caledonian Society of New Orleans, or to the College of Wooster.
