Sue Ann Schulkens Barreca

Sue Ann Schulkens Barreca, born on August 12, 1955 to the late Celeste Cuccia Schulkens and Allen Joseph Schulkens Sr., passed away unexpectedly in her home at the age of sixty-nine on March 1st, 2025.

She was the beloved wife of Michael Barreca for forty-eight years. She is survived by her three children Alicia Barreca Smith (Scott), Stephanie Barreca (Dennis), Michael Barreca Jr. (Gabrielle) and grandmother of Blake and Bryce Smith and Lakelyn Rose Barreca. Sue is the sister of Allen Schulkens Jr. (Flora) and the late Janice and Vincent Cuccia. She is the daughter-in-law of the late Ignatius “Nash” and Laura Barreca. Sue’s faith, kindness, generosity, and love for her family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Williams Blvd Baptist Church, 3000 Williams Boulevard, Kenner, La. on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 12:00 PM. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private at a later date.
