Scott "Scooter" Wesley Beaver

Well, before I tell you where, I’ll tell you why.

See, when a mechanic dies, they don’t go to Heaven or Hell.

And that’s because his soul is too hard to sell.

Satan doesn’t want them because he says they are too mean,

And Saint Peter won’t let them in because grease is a mess to clean,

With ratchets, wrenches, sockets, and such.

A mechanic doesn’t want wings, because they don’t come with a clutch.

Well… the man on the moon needs help pulling that thing across the sky.

So that’s the place where all mechanics go when they die.

They got pulleys, generators, and engines of every size to keep that thing glowing and moving across the night sky.

And every now and then that light goes out

But they get her up and going and back on route

So its true that mechanics never stop working

Even after death, they are all up there smirking.

After a four year battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce that Scott “Scooter” Wesley Beaver is now smirking at us from the moon. He passed quietly on the afternoon of September 19th, 2026 and the age of 69, in the home he built and shared with his surviving wife, Susan, and children, Krista Boles, Chelsea Beaver, and Joshua Beaver. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by the many lives he has touched over the years. As time moves on, as it always must, he will be remembered as a man always willing to help a friend or stranger, in whatever way he was capable. A lover of creating, of music, and always doing, he can now get back to it with a body made whole. So when you look at that moon as she passes through the sky, give a wave and tell Scooter, "Hi."
