Sandy was the first-born child of Earline Riviere Reisz and Albert Harry Reisz Sr. Although born in Buffalo, New York, she spent all of her life in and around the metro sections of New Orleans, LA. Specifically, the first years in the Lakefront neighborhood of Gentilly near the intersections of Elysian Fields and Robert E. Lee Blvd. Later in her life she resided in Metairie and Kenner.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, Earline and Albert Reisz and her beloved sister, Jennie R. Dane of Houston, Texas. She is survived by her younger sister, Leslie Cecile Scott, nee Reisz, married to Dominic Scott and her younger brother, Albert Harry Reisz Jr. married to Jean A. Reisz, nee Carrington. Sandy was a kind and generous Aunt to nieces, Aisling Michelle Scott and Vicky Jean Lambert (deceased, 1992), and to her nephews, Brian Charles Lambert married to wife Pamela and Timothy Albert Reisz, married to Tabatha. She also took great joy in being a great Aunt to nieces, Alexandra Lambert, Torri Chappell and Audra Reisz and to her great nephew, Jameson Reisz. There also are four additions from the Brian and Pamela Lambert family; nieces, Alexis and Destiny and nephews, Brock and Christian.
Sandy finished grammar school at St. Raphael the Archangel and graduated high school at St. Josephs Academy in Cabrini Parish. She began her working life as a secretary and administrative assistant for various accounting and insurance companies both in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes. Though never married, she devoted her love and attention to her pet dogs, Heather and Rocky, who preceded her in death. At the time of her passing she had shifted her love and attention to her cat, Madison, who she now leaves behind in the loving hands of a second cousin. Sandy spent her later years watching her Saints on television and playing cards with a small, but loyal circle of friends. Sandy also possessed a strong faith and was a frequent disciple of Riverside Church in River Ridge and its pastor, Jarrod Muller.
Sandy will be greatly missed by her family and friends. They take great joy in knowing that she is now with her mom and dad, her sister and her pets in heaven. May she rest in peace.
