Roy Donald Caffery Jr

Roy Donald Caffery, Jr. Entered into heaven on March 9th, 2023 at the age of 81 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Roy is survived by his loving and adoring wife, Constance (Connie) Caffery; His devoted brother, Woodard (Woody) Valls; his daughter, Rella (Kenny) Baucum; his son, John (Isabelle) Caffery; and his daughter, Debra (Debi) Caffery Davies (Fiancé Mark Mueller). He also adored his 6 grandchildren; Daniel, Sarah, John Jr., James, Maximilien (Max) and Tristan. He is also survived by many other loving family members and friends. Roy was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Valls and his Stepfather, William (Bill) Valls; his son, Michael (Mike) Richard Caffery.

Roy was born and raised in New Orleans, La. He was married to the love of his life, Connie Caffery for 53 years. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and continued his passion for the Marine Corps for the remainder of his life. Roy worked as an engineer for Xerox for 36 years. After retiring he and his wife moved to their dream home on the water. He loved spending time with family and friends on his pontoon boat. Living on the water provided many joyous memories. Roy and Connie enjoyed time with many friends going to dances and numerous cruises. He was very mechanical and would often repair things for various family, friends and neighbors.

A service will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church located at 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, La. 70433. Beginning at 9:30-11am with a mass following.
