Rosalie E. Hymel, 73, passed away after a long illness on Thursday, January 3, 2019. She was a native of New Orleans and resident of Metairie for over 30 years, and a graduate of Warren Easton High School. Rosalie loved cooking, and taking care of her family was her joy in life. She is survived by her husband, David Hymel; children, Floyd J. Carver, Irene Rihner and Lori Ann Hymel Orth; grandchildren Ashley Foto, Paige, Sydney, Joshua, and Makaylin Carver, and Leif Orth. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Memorial donations may be made in Rosalie’s name to the Salvation Army. Services will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the Neptune Society of New Orleans.
