Becky was born September 13, 1947 in El Dorado, Arkansas. Her father was an Episcopal priest, so the family moved a number of times while she was growing up. She lived in El Dorado, Arkansas; Sewanee, Tennessee; Lake Village, Arkansas; Shreveport, Louisiana; and Monroe, Louisiana where she graduated from Neville High School and was elected most likely to succeed.
She attended Christian College in Columbia, Missouri and graduated in sociology from LSU in 1969. At LSU she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She earned a master’s degree from the LSU School of Social Work in 1971 and was awarded the Most Outstanding Student Award. She received board certification in social work and became a clinical social worker. After graduation she worked six years at New Orleans Mental Health Center and then went into private practice as a psychotherapist. She continued to practice for forty-seven years in the New Orleans area and then in Mandeville, Louisiana where she moved in 1995. While practicing, she served for more than 35 years as social work consultant to the Fertility Institute of New Orleans. That interest was sparked when Becky, who never married, chose to have a child as a single parent, which required several years of fertility treatment for success.
Becky always felt blessed to work with her patients who taught her so much in her journey as a mental health specialist. She touched countless lives during her half-century career and will be sorely missed by her family, friends, clients, and colleagues. Besides the love she had for her practice and her patients, Becky felt passionate about raising her son and embracing his precious family. She loved her pets and friends and family members, especially her nieces Josephine Falcone and Prentiss and Mary Theus and Prentiss's four children. Her best friend for over 50 years, Holley Pavy LCSW, has been a blessing and a treasure to her.
Becky was predeceased by her parents The Reverend William Bradley Trimble, Sr. and Josephine Finch Trimble and by her beloved niece and namesake Rebecca Jane Trimble. She is survived by her son William Bradley Trimble II, MD (Marissa Poret Trimble) of Madison, Mississippi and their three-year-old daughter Eleanor Rose “Ellie” Trimble. She is also survived by her siblings The Reverend William Bradley Trimble, Jr. (Susan) of Fairhope, Alabama; Lt. Col. Joseph Finch Trimble (Pam) of Calhoun, Louisiana, and Dr. Kathryn Trimble Breese (Kim) of Jackson, Mississippi and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
